Roles and Responsibility Boundaries in Product Data Delivery

Different participants contribute to the delivery, but their responsibilities are not interchangeable.

Manufacturers, EQCTRL, international customers or importers, application platforms, conformity and testing bodies, and Bita Trust each perform a distinct role. Clear boundaries prevent platform functionality, credential verification or technical services from being treated as substitutes for source-side facts and manufacturer responsibility.

Participants in Product Data Delivery

Source-side international product data delivery involves different types of participants. Each participant has distinct responsibilities and contributes to the controlled delivery of product data from the manufacturer’s source environment to international customers, platforms and other destinations. No participant replaces the business, professional or compliance responsibilities of another party.

m01

Manufacturer

Controls source systems and product facts, confirms the product scope, approves disclosure and remains responsible for the manufacturer’s final product statements.

m02

EQCTRL

Interprets external requirements, identifies source facts, organizes evidence and responsibility, controls disclosure boundaries and supports destination handoff without replacing the manufacturer’s product statements.

m03

International Customers, Importers and Responsible Economic Operators

Define commercial or compliance requirements, clarify the intended use and acceptance conditions, and remain responsible for destination-side use and obligations.

m04

DPP and Industry Application Platforms

Provide pages, interfaces, applications or registry connectivity and receive source-prepared data, but do not replace the formation of source-side facts within the enterprise.

m05

Certification, Testing, LCA and Professional Bodies

Independently perform testing, assessment, calculation or verification under their respective authority and remain responsible for their professional results. EQCTRL does not issue those conclusions.

m06

Bita Trust

Provides Data Physics, Trust at Source, GTSE, reference architecture and related intellectual property support under licensing arrangements, without undertaking individual customer delivery projects.

Collaboration Across the Product Data Delivery Chain

Requirements originate from international customers, importers, platforms or professional bodies. The manufacturer confirms product facts and disclosure responsibility. EQCTRL organizes data, evidence and boundaries at the source and completes the required handoff. Destination-side participants receive, verify or use the information within their respective responsibilities.

No single platform, technical credential or service provider replaces the complete responsibility chain.

Collaboration Principles

EQCTRL applies the following principles when working with manufacturers and destination-side partners.

Responsibility Is Not Transferred

Technical services and data handoff do not alter the legal or business responsibilities of manufacturers, importers, platforms or professional bodies.

No Default Data Centralization

Product data can be delivered for a defined purpose without moving all underlying information into EQCTRL or an external platform.

Purpose-bound Delivery

Each delivery should define the recipient, purpose, data scope and authorization boundary.

Open Handoff

EQCTRL supports clear interfaces with different platforms, applications and professional institutions without creating closed dependency.

Complete the Delivery with Clear Boundaries

Manufacturers and destination-side partners can work with EQCTRL to clarify responsibilities, data boundaries and handoff arrangements for a specific delivery requirement.
